Re: Yardbirds Lead Singer Electrocuted in 1976

Gary Thain, original Uriah Heep bassist died similarly, though on stage at a gig. What a horrible situation. Our band takes grounding very seriously indeed. I'm forever maintaining our stuff. He died of complications from a heroin overdose over a year after the electric shock. Don't know where you ...

Re: Andertons 330 & 360 Reviews

Regardless of their schtick, Chappers (in particular) can flat out play. And if you actually take the trouble to listen, he coaxes some pretty compelling sounds out of that 360. It's just notes per second rubbish though, where's the originality, feeling and inventiveness? Shredding is for losers. T...

Re: Andertons 330 & 360 Reviews

I can't think of two worse people to review a Rickenbacker guitar, especially that numb nuts with the dreadlocks. It's like asking Beavis and Butthead to review a Stradivarius violin.

My 370/12 VP turns 10 this month, she looks as good as she did 10 years ago. :)

My Lefty 330 Mapleglo has arrived! Any other lucky lefties just had a dream come true? :D Congrats on your acquisition, is it your first Ric? It's good to hear from a fellow lefty, we are so few and far between. I doubt right handers can truly appreciate what we have to go through to get our hands ...

Re: 'guitarguitar' of the UK and duty question

If you come over here in person, then you get to purchase "vat free", which reduces the point of sale price by 20%. All advertised consumer retail prices in the UK have, by law, to include the VAT. To be honest though, why would you want to? The prices over here are not exactly bargain ba...

Re: BREAKING UP NICE OLD RICKS FOR PROFIT...

The guy has two Ric jack plates up for sale, one listed as a 2001 plate the other a 2012. Both of the pics in the listings show a jack plate from a 2007 350/6 V63 which he has butchered! What a douche  It's stupid stuff like this that gives him such frequent negative feedback. So many of his f...

Re: BREAKING UP NICE OLD RICKS FOR PROFIT...

This idiot You're doing him a disservice. He's not an "idiot" and thinking of him that way is silly, we may not like what he's doing but unlike everyone else trying to sell expensive guitars on eBay right now, this guy is actaully turning a substantial profit and consistently sells his in...

Re: Overseas shipping when selling a guitar

Over the last few years I've purchased 3 guitars and had them shipped from the U.S.A to the U.K with no problems at all. I've used Express Mail, Priority Mail and Fed Ex. The only issue would be customs charges once it gets to England. 9 times out of 10 customs will charge the buyer 20% of the guita...

Re: Lefty Production question

Well by my reckoning using the latest conversion rates from UKP to USD a lefty 330 would cost $3219. I'd love to know if any lefties in the U.S would be prepared to pay that?
