From the experience I had with the 1996 330/12, I am thinking that the necks from the eighties to mid/late nineties might be better for me than the extra thin ones of the sixties and seventies.

I came to the same conclusion on the spot, but then it began gnawing on me...
Was curious if those dowels might have been part of the original design, as I don't ever recall seeing a set neck Ric...

Hey all...
I'm looking at a '64 450/12 that has a set neck that needs to be reset...
(I wish I had taken pics, but I didn't)... :?
How were these original made?
I'm seeing possible dowel lacquer checking (4 of 'em or so) sticking through a possible re-finned back...

It's an M1 serial number, so January of '98...
Toasters (with foam pad), and Schallers...

Love to see that thing get the full restoration treatment, but it's also a great sounding guitar as is...
I didn't mess with the wiring, but i know who did...
It had a teak (
) pickguard installed, so got that off of there...
Love to see pics if you do indeed get some paint on her...
