I use my 370/6 for rhythm, but I think that this is because most of my music is early Beatles, Byrds, 60s stuff. A lot of the music of that time had a more 'jangle' rhythm sound (in my opinion) and my 370/6 picks that up without being a 12 string

Just saw the excellent slideshow from the 75th anniversary - enjoyed seeing the Rickenbacker greats (Kantner, Hoffs, etc), but suprised not to see Roger McGuinn. Surely he was invited! Anyone know why he wasn't there?

For me it was the Byrds. I couldn't believe 'Mr Tamborine Man'. Couldn't afford a Ric 12 string in the 60s, but walked into Maccari's in central London 5 years ago and bought a used Jetglo 360-12. I now have an RM370-12 and a 360. For me they are sort of time machines that catch the spirit of an ...

Just gone from 100 everyday in Austin Texas to mid 60s in London England. I am sleeping with blankets at night which is weird. Looks good that I am moving back to the UK and will be bringing my 360 and my RM370-12 with me. Happy to be in touch with British RIC friends.

Believe it or not, I bought a 370 12 from Ed when he was back east somewhere. I lived in London UK. Saw his website, sent an international money order, had him send to a friend in Pennsylvania. Had no problems of any kind. He easily could have shafted me. I didn't know who he was. But no probs as the ...

Played and bought my first RIC 12 at Macari's in central London in 2000. A 360 jetglo made in 1989 for 850 quid. Badly needed some neck adjustment, but I had no idea that this was so or how to do it. Played it that way for 6 months until I read a manual on the RIC Corp. site. Developed lotsa muscles ...

The myth of 'Eight Miles High' being about drugs needs to be laid to rest. Drugs may have influenced the Byrds' songwriting, but 8MH is definitely about their trip to London and their impression (negative?) of British culture. This is clear through any reading of the Lyrics.

Martin Owners Club (wish it was Ric)

In the October Acoustic Guitar magazine(featuring Roger McGuinn) there is a full page ad introducing the Martin & Co. Owners club including posters, decals, t-shirts, pins ,pics, a newsletter, catalog, and other stuff (price for membership is $45). I know it will probably never be, but I wish there ...

Many thanks for your kind responses! Being in 'cool' San Francisco beats being in 95 degrees with high humidity in Pennsylvania any day. Now all I need is a job -anybody out there looking for a dedicated guy who loves RICs?

I occasionaly see this for sale to the present day. I paid $20 for it. I think this video was put together by ...
