Re: Ric hi-gains iwth adjustable pole pieces
The only audible difference you'd hear would be due to how you have the poles (which are simple button head Allen screws) adjusted in relation to the strings. Other than that, it's the same wire, bobbin etc.... It's nothing "special", besides giving you more wiggle room in dialing up or do...

Re: 325 C58 Question
I'm on a lunchbreak on my cell, so I can't look for it and link you but if you search, you'll find examples of the tune-o-matic bowties I've made.... A great alternative to a stock bowtie while still retaining the look.

Re: MARF IV (Mid-Atlantic RIC Fest)
"Dinner" is probably more in the 8-9ish range or thereabouts. A real Philly cheesesteak, eh? Good luck, I bet all the restaurants say they have the best. Oh, I can guarantee that... just like when I'm in Chicago and you're talking either Italian beef sandwiches or pizza. They mainl...

Re: MARF IV (Mid-Atlantic RIC Fest)
Guys and gals, I'm trying to loosely plan my Friday ahead of time... before I leave on Thursday. I'm planning on going into Philly for the day on Friday to visit some friends and to see some sights (and they're insisting on taking me out for a "real" cheesesteak). I'd like to be back thoug...

Re: ANNOUNCING MARF IV...4/16/2011..OFFICIAL INFO THREAD
Thanks, guys. Hotel is now set (thanks to John S. for assisting me w that!) so it looks like I shall be attending. Looking forward to seeing everyone and overall getting to just relax and decompress for a few days and have a change of scenery (plus check out some cool gear).

Re: ANNOUNCING MARF IV...4/16/2011..OFFICIAL INFO THREAD
I'm seriously considering going.... since I've been badgered yet again to attend one of these things for a change  Right now, I'm waiting to hear back on a few things to see if I can do it (money is of course an issue) and I think I've at least worked it out so I could drive in from MI, spend t...

Re: Tune-o-matic bridge on a Rickenbacker
Thanks, Collin. I hope you didn't take my post as a "dig" at yours.... I thought you did a great job, as well as a very kind guesture towards John. It's isn't as much about them ripping out, but as you said when building one from scratch there's a few more options. I figured that the count...

Re: Tune-o-matic bridge on a Rickenbacker
Dan, SS is the way to go, IMO. I made some TOM bowtie bridges over the last couple years for some Beatles trib members that had concerns about their travel guitars going out of tune all the time (plus not being able to get "perfect" intonation w a fixed compensated bridge). My solution was...

Re: Where Are john lennons Rickenbackers??
It really should have been left coach-painted in black, chipped and nasty--no patina beats real historic knocking-about--but once done, it should be done well, for all time, and to a realistic "museum display" standard, with colors, textures and glosses as it was the day it first rested i...

Re: What model 325 do I have?
Hi there everyone, I haven't been here for a long time, but someone mentioned this thread to me and thought I should comment so I had Peter reactivate my account. Let me see if I can comment on a few things regarding this guitar publically to help clear up some of the guesses and speculation. I've a...

I've had this guitar here way too long. After successive attempts to sell this guitar, none have panned out for one reason or another so I still have it here. I want to clear it out so I'm going to price it to move. Guitar is hand painted, clear coated and has a Mighty Mite P90 installed. The stock ...

Thanks guys. things are levelling out and with my selling of some of my stuff to clean house so to speak it's getting better. I might be starting to do some work on a limited basis(one or two guitars at a time) but nothing more than that for right now. Other things need to be focused on other than t...
