Well, I opened the bidding on this one...I'd really like to get it and do a refinish on it, um, like violet-glo, maybe? It would make a nice twin to my '80 formerly burgundy-glo, now irridescent blue. I still need to get a digital camera so I can take pics....maybe for Christmas

And if you scroll down to "See more great items from this seller" there is a 1965 Ash Blond Fender Precision....this bass just sold on E-bay only two days ago for just under $2,500 if I remember correctly. Now Musicground has it for sale with an opening bid of $9,645--and they're using the photos of ...

Um, slight problem with posting pics right now--I don't have a digital camera....but I plan on getting one very soon, maybe this week. I turn 48 tomorrow and although I already got myself a birthday present ('97 mapleglo 4003 from a guy in San Diego, off E-bay for $950+shipping) I've been needing to ...

Sorry about that....my name's Mike Carlson,I live in Duluth, MN....I've only got one Rick (so far), a 1980 4001 that WAS burgundy when I got it in 1984. Being young and dumb at the time, I decided ...

Damn, Bob, I would bid on that burgundy 4003 of yours if only out of sentimentality--my 1980 4001 was burgundy when I first bought it, but stupid me decided to repaint it, now it's irridescent blue. The thing is, I've got my heart set on getting a mapleglo 4001 preferrably, but I would settle for a ...

If you want a purple burst or purpleglo 4001 or 4003, or whatever, why not just have one refinished? That's what I'm going to do with my 1980 4001.....but first an explanation. I bought it used in 1983 for $425 (if I remember correctly) but wasn't too fond of the burgundy(!) finish, so I decided to ...
