Jesus, I'll pocket the extra $100 and buy a new one. I bid on one of the best looking montezuma browns on ebay a few months ago that a forum member had up for auction, and that went for under $1000, and this gets $125 more for it? Wierd. I guess I didnt know how high the demand is for the older models.

I would agree that a V63 and a C64 are technically both "S" models.

Off topic for Brian-

I'm a race fan. I've gone to the Indy 500 every year since around 1980. I had 4 REALLY sweet tickets to that USGP(Same tix renewable every year). High up on the apex of a turn with a view of 7 turns total.

My girl and I went for 3 or 4 years. I couldn't give the other two tix away. Nobody wanted them. Nobody would buy them from me off ebay at any price. Scalpers down there gave me 10 bucks each one year($75.00 face, I think...maybe $85.00) but nobody showed up in the seats during the race, so I guess the scalpers ate the $10. The other years I had a place to put my coat and room to spread out on my empty seats.

The cars are cool, the drivers have gobs of talent but I found the race extremely boring. I think all three that I saw went something like this: Micheal Schumacher's Ferrarri takes the lead before the first turn on the first lap...cars go around in circles for 2 hours...race ends. No lead changes; hardly any passing. Few pit stops and no real action in the pits. No numbers on the cars to tell who is who.

So I stopped renewing my tickets. Sorry to be a wet blanket! I guess the moral to the story is...you should be able to get great seats real cheap if you look on ebay!

Jeff.....

I get my tickets in advance every year........we get seats at the end of the front straight which gives us a nice shot of the first five turns plus we have a good angle on one of the "jumbo-trons".

F1 is certainly different than the other races that are typical in this country. I enjoy races on road courses and can't watch 5 seconds of anything on an oval. I have no issues with the "who's who".....you only have to look at the helmets and/or mirror color to tell the difference. Ferrari has been the dominant team for a few years and that's usually the way it goes with F1.....a dominant driver in the best car blows everyone else away. Some rule changes this year should mix things up a little bit.

I'm just glad that we have an F1 race here and hope the attendance/interest stays high enough that it stays here. I'm every bit of a "wet blanket" as you are with F1 when it comes to NASCAR/CART/IRL.......different styles for different tastes

No doubt about it, F1 drivers definitely are required to have more talent than the oval guys. And those F1 cars just scream. I was really exited about that first F1 race, but less and less excited for the others.

I don't blame you for not having interest in IRL/CART/NASCAR. Being a car guy, I loved going to Indy as a kid. Now I think I just go because its a tradition that kicks off the summer. Do I care who wins? No!

Very much agreed, gentlemen.

For me, Indy drivers are like most Punk bassists pounding out boring 8th root notes whereas F1 racers are like talented bassists playing it like Sir Paul, Lord Squire and Knight Lee.

I used to watch CART races but in recent years it has gotten rather boring. I also agree about the boredom in recent years with F1. Here's hoping the new rules will help; so far, Australia was kinda interesting. But then the weather played a major hand in that. Good to see the Red Bull (Jaguar) team did quite well it's first time out.

On the racing front, F1 driving is much more technically demanding. See what happened when Cart champion Zinardi tried to cross over a few years ago. Montoya, who is a brilliant driver has been a rare exception.

I used to go to Monaco in the mid 80's to see the GP. Truly a brilliant setting and seeing the cars at that speed on a circuit like that was phenomenal. We drove through the tunnel in a Mini Cooper at 80mph the day before the race and it scared to life out of me. The next day the drivers are going through at 180...
