We need Sérgio on this one I think, you have a point there Lars. The pickguard also looks a little funny to me.

I think Andrew is right. I'd say it is a '72.

Definitely a '72 with the full width inlays, and it is a slightly different body shape, I think the older ones look "Skinnier". Might be an optical illusion.

He says the serial number is MA 303. (Was there ever a three digit number?)

i live in France and have bought one ric 360 here. The pigalle area has one or two good shops, but in comparison to the US, buying a guitar here is expensive and not an enjoyable experience. There are few rics and they are list at double us prices. occassionally nice stuff comes up, but, it is few and far between. The prices in the pigalle are essentially the same shop to shop; there is no real price reduction. For example, the negociation might be some free strings ...

Don't forget, a MIM fender runs here for just about what you'd pay street in the US for a ric 330. It has been some time since i've bought here and the lack of supply, price movement, attitude issues give the Parisian shops a bad reputation among the locals. Also, people don't have a ton of spare cash to put on a professional guitar, especially when the price point is double that of ones in the US.

It is my experience too Dave, that buying from USA is less expensive (even including shipping and VAT) than buying in Europe. Do you live in the Paris region?

I am going to Paris tomorrow, maybe I should give it a new home in the UK!

Can you remember the name of the road with all those vintage shops on?

No... sorry. But it's not far from the Pigalle (sp?) square.

Wondering out loud if the seller would allow you to send him a hard case, pack it up, then allow the shipper of your choosing to pick it up.

I wonder if he'll let me bring over an empty case and bring it back Image

I live in Chartres, about 100 km from Paris due south, but, until the day before yesterday, worked the last eight years in Paris. I'm moving on, and start a new gig in London on July 1.
