My 1st thought was a 3 color Sunburst very similar to the Autumnglo in the picture above, one of my favorites.... 2nd would be Jetglo, most people don't realize Black is the hardest color to do, especially on autos, I think this would be awesum with the Gold Pick Guards and Truss Rod Cover ....3rd would be Natural since the instrument will be a simple one with B/W checkered binding, C/P inlays and black vintage knobs. It will be a little over a week before the finish will be started, so we have time to decide. Thanks for helping on this. You guys are great!
Dale, Black would sure look nice with the checkerboard binding but I still can't get over the finish on Graham Griffith's '59 capri above (with gold PG and TRC)! My favorite. The crushed pearl inlay would look gorgeous with the aged look Autumnglo! It reminds me of the Ric pic used on this forum's lead page. Natural would be cool too! Maybe you could do another guitar for a lusting forumite in the runner up color of choice??

I forgot to mention a reply to the peg head question. The template was taken off a 1958 Rickenbacker and transposed to this neck. IMO, these were the best, with the sharp edges and all. Oh and Howard, to answer that question, "what's going to happen to this when it's finished" would you believe that I was pondering how I could send it to you since you are down under and need a nice guitar to play. What do you think? Heaven knows I don't need another guitar. Hi Debbie,LYSM! this is for my friend in So. Cal. that's following this thread.
Thanks and get your vote in for the color: no metal flake please.
