Most desirable colours?

Hi again,

Thanks for all your replies. Do you think it will be the FG:s that will hold their values the best or can special edition colours become expensive collectable just because they are special editoins?

Anyway, my favourite colours are definately MB, MG and JG. BB looks good on some models. I once saw a 360BB and it was a stunner.

For some reason, I don't like red in sunbursts, such as FG. For instance Fender's two-tone sunburst is really beautiful but three-tone is nasty. Just my opinion. I think plain red guitars are allright though.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Blueburst become the most popular COY ever once more people actually see it. We had a 650 Colorado with flamed maple in BBR and it was easily the coolest guitar I've seen leave the factory (especially with the contrasting maple fretboard)

What makes it so nice is the relatively restrained burst. Soo much nicer than other burst finishes!

When I started looking at Rickenbackers back in January, Fireglo was the only colour (sic) I was interested in. To me it's the quintessential, definitive Rick colour. However, Jetglo is a classic (JL and all).

Beyond those two, Autumnglo and Montezuma Brown look fabulous and I wouldn't hesitate to buy one (if I could find one over here).

Turquoise with gold fittings is another very likeable combination.

Blue Boy? LMO!! Blueburst? Judgement reserved.

Autumn Glow, Monty Brown, and Walnut are my favorites. Running closely behind is MG BT, and the older FG's. I did see a 660 BBR with the vintage gold p/g and checkered binding that is stunning.
I wish those options where available for the bass models.

It's not for everyone, but Sea Green is my favourite. Especially when it has the vintage gold plastics like the 660/12 below.

I love the Seagreen, especially on the basses. You see very few of these for sale. I can't believe that many were made period.

I thought long and hard about buying Tim's old bass that you have Steve when it was first for sale on E Bay. Not too many of them around, and I think the dot inlay models look slightly better than the 4003's.
Marc's custom Seagreen colour with the ebony board is a great looking contrast too...

Bob - I think your wife is of sound mind and her advice to sell your SG 4003 to me is a very sensible idea.
