4005 for sale in the Netherlands

Jaime, wouldn't be the first time something like this happened. The guy posted the instrument without a price and got e-mail from all over the world. Now he's greedy.I really can't blame him, however unless he wants to auction it off, he should arrive at a price and sell it to the first person to agree to it.

BassConnection is just a small store, a bass specialist. Edwin van Huijk is the owner of the store.
I don't know what his selling tactics in this are. But I know for sure I would be flabbergasted if a bass I wanted to sell for 1900 euro's would attract far higher bids from all around the world, simply because a guy posted something on an internet forum

Bob, to clarify, I understand the Skyline bass is not USA made, the hollow body I'm interested in is made in Chicago and wasn't represented to me as Skyline.
Jeff, It's tobacco sunburst, not my first choice but, I feel I'll grow to love it.Would love to get a 60's or 70's 4005. Just seems that the prices will be to high, or have issues that I can't deal with.
Menno, I don't think that the posting here or on the Dude Pit attracted all the bidding. People are searching for stuff all the time. The forum postings however, may have added fuel to the fire. I do believe Edwin when he told me the price should have been 2900 Euros. He never put a price on the site and it's not totally out of whack with the market.
There seems to be tremendous interest lately in v63's( recent auctions have gone close to 2K for any color) and 4005s(where are they?) as prices get higher and higher with each auction and/or sale. Also noticed a 73 4001 went for well over $2K in an auction that ended last night as well. Rickenbacker fever is in full force worldwide!
If there is a 4005 reissue, I'll be one of the first on line for that, you can bet.
