I've utlized a similar concept for the Rick-O-Sound jack on my 4003/8 string project. Instead of a stereo jack, it's a mono jack wired pre-tone section directly off the pickup switch. It's intended to run an unfiltered signal to a console for recording. I'm running and HB1 in the neck position and a stock bridge high gain. The pickguard is a V63 style with only one tone and volume.

Never thought coming across a bunch of old 4002 bodies would cause such a stir.

Of course you did! If you really didn't, you need to spend more time with us Ben. Then you'll truly understand how sick we are

Kenneth, I would appreicate you not sharing my hostage taking plans with everyone on the forum. I guess it is too late. I must devise another diabolical plan.

Imagine the fuss when you mention the other pallet with the 4005's on it.

If Ric reissues a 4002 they should do it with modern pickups ... has anybody here ever played a bass or guitar with low impedance pickups? I for one am not a fan of that technology ... I say use HB-1 pickups ... they growl

Then it wouldn't be 4002, would it? It'd be a totally different beast. And if they are 4002 bodies, they might already have been routed and bound. MMMMM...binding...

I think we've been kicking this VERY dead horse long enough guys. How's about someone being crafty and building their own 4002 inspired Ricky. I just happen to be working on something as we/I speak.

I'm working on a Entwistle-esque Fender-bird 5 string project ... John Hall is going to do what he wants to do ... we can't talk him into our pet projects ... as much as we would like to ...

I'm gonna build me 30 4002 models and stack them on a pallet too.
What about that! ;-)
