I saw Phil once on the "Hello, I Must be Going" tour, he came out, sang "I Don't Care Anymore" then said his voice was bad and he wouldn't be able to continue. The venue said no refunds since he DID perform. It was an angry crowd. Also, a bad song choice. Image

Would it be just a concert/series of concerts, or would they also try to create some new music? I'd be happy if just the concert happened but would be fascinated with what they could come up with if they went into the studio and worked on some new material, picking up on their art rock origins as well as working in new ideas from the other influences and musical directions they've been through in the years since.

Imagining something sprawling and adventurous like one of those early 70s Genesis albums with the production quality of UP... that would be mind blowing.

OK, I'm starting to believe it might just happen - if they did reunite, just for one show, it would be fantastic !!

What do you mean "one" show? Oh, you mean the one in Cleveland! Sounds good to me. Image

I don't think Gabriel would enter into this unless a creative process or new material was a priority. I think he's amazing. Although if one of the guys was having financial problem that could change things. I know Phil and the boys helped him out finacially with a reunion concert a few years back.

Steve Hackett may not be rolling in dough, but the other four don't have to worry about keeping the wolf from the door !!

i think they'll play a few shows, film it, and release a DVD.

p.s. i think Phil is a great drummer.

It's nice to know that Phil can still be humble.

With Phil & Peter in its a go. One of the best live performances I ever saw -- Genesis at the Santa Monica Civic about 1973 or 74!

Looks like I have to book another Albert Hall reunion concert soon - Graham, where are you......
