I have seen this type of head on many assembled plastic products when I designed toys and premiums. But nobody knew what that head style was called. It's not exactly a round head, and the head is undersized for the screw body, too. The Phillips X is, on the other hand, oversized for a #3.
Weird screws...When you gotta have them, you gotta have them.

You might want to try McMaster-Carr (www.mcmaster.com) for a wide array of hardware online.
Yes, Paul did mention them earlier in this thread but the problem usually is the quantity you need to order and shipping charges.
I do recall one bozo that for years was selling vintage hardware conversion kits on eBay made up of parts he bought from McMaster Carr quite cheaply.
FYI, they don't have the screws Paul's speaking of either.

Oh, yes, I've tried. Their catalog is my BIBLE. I have one with a gold-stamped, red leatherette binding.
JOKE. But it is well-thumbed.

Parts is parts. Some are more well-thumbed than others.
I call one of my Ricks "Laetitia"...
She used to answer the phone for McMaster Carr, of course.

Paul, that picture of the TWO lightshows is just amazing. Surely that they are not yours? If so, I think I would love a catalog of just your guitars as much as a Victoria Secrets one!
"Here he is, come to pay homage to the Rickenbacker display!" (Said to me by owner Bruce at the "Great House of Guitars" in Rochester, NY)

I'm flattered, Scoob, but they belong to John Hall. I photographed them during a visit last month.
My own small collection numbers 5--soon to be 6, and, alas, no light shows.
Six Rickenbackers, no matter the quality of the guitars, puts me near the bottom of the pyramid, but then, who's counting!
There are at least two dozen members of this Forum whose collections are worthy of VC catalog status. And John's is jaw-dropping, but what would you expect from the CEO?
