Mighty nice. I'm surprised he's selling it. If he really just had it for a few days, and can't afford it, he should be able to return it.

Well, it's probably the best looking Ric Bass on Ebay right now.

I love it & would probably go for it as I am a total FL convert, except... that the new FL's don't have side of neck markers at each note. For FL purists this would not be any problem but as a novice I think my learning curve would be a lot steeper.

I did a full 1 1/2 hr live set with my band after owning my 83' FL for only one week. I took a fretted bass along as a saftey net but played the FL for the whole gig.

I think it is easier to see " where you are" when the sidedots are only where the fret markers would be. It's less confusing.

New Rick FL's don't have the million dots???? Image

What year is that transition?

i got basses both ways..and a couple i ripped the frets outta...lol...my fl 4002 has the million dots..it also has 22 usable notes not 21....hi f is in pitch on the g string ..great for soloing...the coranado has the harmonic markers on the side...precision beast is on the fretboard..same as the hagstrom and espana..

4002's are 21 fret tho aren't they but you squeeze the extra note out of it?

Nope....the notes theres easy as pie to get to...my pj bass is some british thing...its made out of walnut...weighs like 15 tons...its at a former girlfriends house .I need to get it back tho i love the old tired beast that it is...LOL
