"If you make her play her "fiddle" like a normal person would you guys could do "Losing It". Sure, it had a lot of keys, but I learned the main keyboard line on my bass and it's not all that bad.
"Losing It" isn't all that modern, but I saw your set list and it says you do "The Spirit Of Radio".. that's older than "Losing It".

It's COOL Nate if you mean Apocalyptica!
When they played here in Russia, the "steep" guys (sometimes called "new Russians") who were out of the room for a beer or a chat on hearing the intro were sure it was a whole heavy metal band playing (drums, bass, you know). Imagine their faces when they entered the room!
"jaw hitting the floor" is too modest
Really Jeff... try to talk her into learning the cello?..

Nothing will get you dead quicker than being deadly serious about yourself.

actually Scott the lead singer and the guy who owns the PA and the light show is going to take a few months off ... the drummer and the lead guitarist are bugging him more than me ... he needs a break ... then we will put the thing back together with some new people ...
Sharon is a good singer and she plays violin with a local symphony ... she is not the problem ... Scott started the band as a modern rock band and the other 2 guys are trying to take it over and remake it into a classic rock band ...
so while that all falls apart I will go and find some other people to play with for a while ...

Jeff, your comment about adding an accordian (not seriously, of course) reminds me of a song lyric from that awful movie 'Ishtar':
"Telling the truth can be dangerous business,
Honest and popular don't go hand-in-hand;
When you admit that you play the accordian,
No one will invite you into their rock-n-roll band."
If I had a rock band, I *would* have at least one song in which we use the accordian. Music should be fun and funny! Too many rock posers out there for my tastes.
