Funny thing Paul... I suddenly have this wierd desire for a dark green Rick...

If I ever find a beater V63 in need of a refin I'll let you know really quick!

Or Ken... have you ever had a strange desire for a lightly modded '77 4001JG? Figured I'd ask...
What do you mean the Bass is too loud???

The body is green on my monitor also. The guards are black. So when conversion varnish yellows it will even alter the hue of JG. Interesting I did not know that.

No green here! I'll look out for it, though.

Andy, while this bass is very cool without doubt, the shape of the upper horn is really freaky, plus the way it's constructed. I can't help but wonder if it was actually cut earlier in the scope of things, and had a DE plate added when it was shipped out...

I don't know John...

There is the original Fireglo in the toaster cavity combining the two pieces of wood. It's that upper piece that confuses.

The upper bout joins the body at the same point as the lower and that gives the impression that the horn is more severe than it possibly is...

I thought I measured the width of the upper horn last year and it was the same as my other RM, but I'm not 100% sure!

Time to move this over to the "Vintage" section Image
