Reminds me of "Married... With Children". Al waits for his Dodge to get to 999,999 miles so he can get a free one. Then it moves in the driveway and rolls over to 000,000 again.. he didn't get the new car. Image

Thanks folks!

It's a 1994 MIM Standard that I scored off eBay for $250. I drilled the bridge for the Stew-Mac brass saddles, and added a Seymour Duncan '54 Lead pickup for more of a vintage sound. Love it. :^)

I don't think you can go wrong with the tele--I can't imagine anything more versatile. It is about as far from my Rick 360v64 as you can get, in terms of the craftsmanship required to put it together--it appeals to my egalitarian nature that way. MILES of tone, even with everything stock. Here is my old '74, along with the lefty I picked up this spring:

The picture doesn't do justice to the woodgrain in the blonde--just beautiful.
