JH did say that the new COY per se would also be a standard finish on a new model. Maybe this one's going to be around for a while.

Yes, it will be a very limited edition, limited strictly to the number of people that order them.

It's part of the V Series, as the 1998's were, which are models that rotate following demand and interest.

Well there appears to be a lot of interest in a 4001 V kodel! Image

Is it going to be possible to get this without the vibrato? If not, how hard would it be to change the accent vibrato out for a trapeze or "R" tailpiece?

I hear the change is really really easy and requires no modification (but that may have been in reference to the trapeze)

Is it possible that there will be no surprises at NAMM?

Has JH let all of the cats out of the bags or is there one or two left…?

That page says "rosewood" for neck material - is that a typo? Maple neck, idn'it? Regardless, it'll be a big pass for me & I still hope to see a 4001v68 in the near future...

Anyone have a price on this model yet?

Are they available now, or are they on the 4-5 year plan? Not being critical, just wondering. I still have the rest of the "C" Series to look forward to.

Too cool!

I've had GAS for a 325 lately, but i'm a little hesitant to really find one as i've never played a 3/4 scale guitar before. Can anybody comment on getting used to the playability of one?

Playability? They are a gas! Everytime I pick mine up, I get a great big grin on my face. It's a little friendly puppy with a BIG sound.

I have slender fingers, though. YFMV.

If you've got fingers like tuna cans, you're in for a tough haul.

As far as availability, I have heard that they, like the other models, are backlogged about 18 months. I went through that with my 730L, so no big deal to me ... I'm pretty sure I'll put one on order. And wait.

"It's part of the V Series, as the 1998's were, which are models that rotate following demand and interest".

I'm hanging onto the "rotate following demand and interest".

Is there still hope for a new bass? A 75th Anniversary edition hasn't been mentioned at all recently, did John drop ANY hints?

I would HOPE they would do SOMETHING to celebrate or commemorate such a milestone?

Anyone hear ANYTHING along that line?
