Larry: Was Cry For A Shadow recorded using the Futurama?
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Peter: I'm certain the tone on Cry For A Shadow is the Futurama. The Beatles recordings with Bert Kaempfert were done in June of 1961 on The Beatles second trip to Hamburg. George was still playing his Futurama at this time and didn't get his Gretsch Duo-Jet until he returned to Liverpool so I say it was the Futurama on these recordings. Some people might try to argue that George borrowed Tony Sheridan's Gibson ES-175 for Cry For A Shadow but the tone is not Gibson. A Futurama has a very distinct tone. What do you think on this Greg?
