I truly regret that the Beatles never covered "She's A Mod" by Ray Columbus & The Invaders.

"She's A Mod"... HAAA! never heard that one before, but its a fun little song by the New Zealand band and it would have been great to hear a Beatles cover. If the song had come out a few years earlier perhaps the Fabs would have done it, but "She's A Mod" came out in '64 and the Beatles were already on to bigger and better things (to say the least).

To me, they look and sound more like Gerry and the Pacemakers than the Beatles.

How about something from the Knack, since the Knack kinda modeled themselves after the Beatles...

I think a 45 minute version of Oh Yoko would make nice Beatles' CD.

How about 45 minutes of Neil Sedaka doing 'Why Dont We Do It In The Road'.... after the first 5 minutes they'd be talking me in off the ledge.

hmm...that Jet song, Look What You've Done. These lyrics seem familiar?

Oh, look what you've done
You've made a fool of everyone

Then there's a sort of Paul/John pounding piano part that may actually be from Free As A Bird.

Kent, initially I wasn't really serious about "She's A Mod," but upon further reflection it would have sounded pretty cool!

Kent, your Sedaka suggestion made me spew coffee through my nose...I had to get up and walk around until the spasms subsided. I hope you're happy...

ha.... reminds me of the time someone caught me with a funny look as I was drinking milk. The result was 2 parallel white jets.... oooo I hate when that happens.

Some things are just too horrible to contemplate:

I knew a young guy (many years ago) who played bass for a while in a touring show band...they got booked to play some casino in Vegas for a week, and one night they went up to their hotel suite to party after the show with some 'hangers-on'...one of whom was Mr. Sedaka himself. Apparently, 'Ol' Neil' spent the entire evening chasing this poor kid around the place...

Just the thought of Sedaka singing "Nobody will be watching us..." gives me the creeps.

Speaking of the creeps, here is Janet Reno
singing "Respect" at a recent fundraiser.

Can you say child abuse? And I dont mean McCauley Culkin...

Like the great majority of singing lawyers, Janet Reno should not be singing...

And Michael shouldn't be lawyering, either...or loitering, for that matter.
