Musical Listening Test
Thank you for your participation. You scored 26 out of 30.
I guess I do have a good ear for music, in spite of not being a musician! Image

Holy Smokes - I got 28/30! That'll surprise the rest of the band mates. I can't carry a tune in a bucket. I always get to do a solo - so low no one can hear me.

Hmmm... congrats John! Tchaikovsky family is growing and growing... Image I think i have a certain hypothesis... but i suspect we'd also need the results of a) a certain hippie who's just a month younger than Johnny Rotten; b) a certain smart guy who has just turned 17 and c) a certain bluesman whose email client keeps on rejecting my mails... Image Perhaps some more...

Well that certain "bluesman" (me) did not fair too well Sheena. As mentioned in my e-mail to you I only achieved 27/30. My hearing is going to the dogs along with my eyesight and my hair.

I'm just falling apart I guess. But I take consolation in the fact that many "old" blues players still have what it takes well into old age. BB King for example. Now where did I put my application for a hearing aid? LOL

Seem to catch the imagination this most people who have taken it also seem to get between 25 to 28, no score higher than 28. One drummer reckoned he got nil that seems impossible. Sure it's genuine but I wonder is it programmed to return a random number, just a thought.

You're way too modest, Brian - both guys who counted more than you are fairly young... Image BTW, see statistics posted here: 22 - 1, 25 - 2, 26 - 3, 27 - 2, 28 - 2. Looks like you're somewhere on top, aren't you?
Oh yeah, and i must admit i was way too fast claimin' this test is easier than the one my dad has once passed with fine results - he only got 23 on this one... or maybe his pneumonia worked against him...

I sort of did expect to get 30 out of 30. But like I said I must be slipping into senility. What was I going to say?

Oh yes! I remember now. Maybe Roy is right it just returns random numbers. Ha! That works for me. I feel better now. If only I could find my damn glasses.

Yep getting older is fun as you can tell.

Well, i'm thinking about checking it again (tomorrow) to see what the result might be... maybe it's true... or maybe my "IQ test hypothesis" will work in this case too... in any case, i also did expect to get 30/30... Image ah, dreams, dreams...

There's alway's a smart alec in the crowd.

Now I feel bad again about my score and I was beginning to feel so good. Thanks a lot Jason.

No offence taken, just a theory Jason based on a similar thing I did a while back, same principle, though not entirely the same admittedly, but same answers returned a different score.
I am sure this is genuine though.
Still glad I raised it, seems to have generated some interest.
