Phelps. I'm from Mpls and I was big into the music scene in the early 80's. I don't recall either of those bands you mentioned. I do remember an all girl band that played Rics, but can't remember their name. They used to play at the Hair Police. Remember that place? It was on 7th Street between Northern Lights music store and 1st Ave. It was a hair salon by day and a punk rock hang out with bands at night. Very cool.

I'd bet that the band you saw was the Blue Up. I remember Northern Lights music, but I was too young and sheltered to go out on the scene very often. I only lived there (Edina) for a few years beforer moving back to NJ. The Dig was really great, even though I only saw them once -- one of those experiences that lasts a lifetime and influences musical taste.
