I like these because they have a lot of surface area NOT covered up with a plastic pickguard/routing cavity cover, which means they have lots of surface area for wood finish.
I've stated in the past that I like finishes that show the wood on an instrument but in this case I really like the Jetglo and the BlueBoy finishes best. Maybe that's because the FireGlo has too much yellow in the center on these for my taste.

It seems that, in the '60s at least, the standard 4005 had binding around the slash hole with checker binding on the back, whereas the 'deluxe' WB models
with the binding on both front and back did not have the binding around the slash hole. This is only from examples I have seen, the above featured six!! I could be wrong about certain specific pieces out there.
