Did George's 2nd RIC 12 string have checkerboard binding?

That guitar could be worth more than a million. You'd think that whoever had it would at least try to fence it!

It has turned up, if I'm not mistaken. Isn't it the one that was for sale at a music store in Florida some years back?
I understood that it had been spirited away from the storage room at Abbey Road by the lead player for an (ahem) nameless American group who recorded there, and later surfaced in the aforementioned music store.
I understand that there ongoing negotiations between the current owner and the Harrison estate to return it.
Or do I have my signals crossed?

“I say in speeches that a plausible mission of artists is to make people appreciate being alive at least a little bit. I am then asked if I know of any artists who pulled that off. I reply, 'The Beatles did.”

What about George's Tennessean? The guitar from Help and the Day Tripper riff is out there somewhere and it's a fair bet it will never be ID'd. George's second 12 is back with the Harrisons.

This is off the record

I'd like to know what happened to the Tennessean as well, because I don't think I've heard any theories, other than "it's been stolen."
I don't think anyone knows of the serial number on the Tenny, so that's what may prevent it from every being IDed. Everytime I see a '63 or '64 Tenny on eBay, I wonder if it could be Georges.
