I like version #3. #4 looks a little too close to the edge to me.

How about #3 but a tad shorter? It seems to be a bit too long at the thin end...

Definitely! But how much? I'd say as much as 3/8" - at least 1/4".

Even shortening by the width of the bridge would probably be OK by me. I think that we would need to see the candidates side-by-side to really nail it down.

Do you think moving just "wee" bit forward, so the end of the scimitar is about central to the middle pickup.

I agree with Gary, having side by side shots would of the various positions would make it easier to for the jury to assess.

It looks as if the binding on This Old Gretsch (what a title for a TV series!) has popped off--a not uncommon happenstance. Then someone helped it unskillfully...

...with some sledge hammers and railroad spikes.

But it could be merely another case of Runaway Dremel Moto-Tool.

I have one tucked in my tool box. Every once in awhile I'll walk into my shop first thing in the morning, turn on the lights, and there it'll be--halfway across the workbench, just poised to attack an unsuspecting 6122...
