Geez with all these "books" past, present and future regarding the Beatles and really what's the goal of it honestly. I think whatever can be said about them has been said already.( I'm talking about books, not our Forum) Here's what I think...mostly with perhaps a few exceptions.. it's about the money to be made spinning another round of Beatle related material out to the more than willing(myself included) Beatle fan. Can you say... Cha --Ching

Randy, this is what you said according to Babelfish (http://babelfish.altavista.com/):
I none understood
Sorry, I'm not making fun of you, rather it was just too funny. Image

Nah, just kiddin'. Never studied German, unfortunately, so it took me some time and effort (and consulting the dictionary) to understand (more or less) what Stuart has said...Image

I would probably say, "Sprichst du Deutsch?" but only to someone I was familiar with. To a stranger I'd say "Sprechen Sie Deutsch?" but in fact in Germany I'd end up asking "Sprechen Sie English?" after my attempt at communication breaks down.

By the way, does anyone know which guitar George used on "Ticket To Ride"? Or should I start a new topic thread for that?
Listen to that sustain!

Stuart said, "I don't understand, but I have only studied German for two years. Do you know German?". Go easy on me guys. I've never been to Germany and I had three years of high school German. I was once fairly good at reading German, but haven't really used it in over twenty-seven years and I don't currently own an English-German dictionary. My favorite German word is 'gewoehnlich'. I just like the way it sounds.

Christian had a little over 100 posts. It's a shame when the young ones go so soon.

I think Ringo played the 'Ticket To Ride' intro on a ukulele. George was playing the cowbell during those sessions. From the control room, George Martin kept yelling, "Give me more cowbell!"

Are you sure it was Ringo, Randy? Or could it have been Jake?

Sheena: We're not supposed to even know about Jake, the seventh Beatle. He's the guy who ran off with all the missing guitars in another thread. A man so modest, he showered with his clothes on, so as to prevent himself from ever looking down on the unemployed.

Don't laugh at me. Even the Beatles dubbed me their greatest hits (both!). It takes me up to half an hour to generate a single sentence...
What I wanted to say was something like Ozover50
said:
"Very difficult to understand Christian's attitude - unless we members were his last hope of finding the facts (which does not justify his actions, of course). And as I see it, the facts come directly from George's quote - no better source".
I do like some serious historical research about the Beatles' music and their guitars.
