I moved this past weekend to the house and it is still an ongoing process. I just got the computer up and running this evening.

I think at this time it might be wise for somebody out there to start planning an "unofficial" event, and hope that they somehow coincide.... I just have a hunch that the busy people at RIC probably have more important things on their minds, like filling people's orders for beautiful guitars and basses, LOL.... For myself, it's been really easy to forget that fact....after all, who doesn't love a celebration? But whether there is an "official" party or not shouldn't stop all of us Rickenfans from getting together anyway!

I was hoping somebody familiar with the area in southern California would be in charge--they might know more about the hotels/convention centers/ restaurants, etc.... Any volunteers?

At this point, I think our plans are to be in California August 18-28. Will need to talk it over more with my hubby, but will try to solidify things soon.

Tell you what. You can all send me your Ricks you wish to display at the fest, since I'm close. Then I'll just bring them when I come. Probably save you all a lot of grief, what with getting on the plane or packing the car with them. I promise to bring to the shindig I really do. Really. I'll be there with all of your guitars.
