I finished recording the second song (A Picture Of Her) last week. It's got a 1997 RI (three or four tracks, including lead solo) 660/12 (three or four tracks including lead solo), a 4005 bass, and another maker's acoustic guitar, the only non-rick on the track.
I played all parts 'cept drums.
It's slightly retro sounding (on purpose).
I'd probably submit something else from these sessions, not so retro.

Welcome to the forum Mark. Like I said, I just have to sort a couple of things out & then I'll post all the details....give me a couple of days to talk to Peter & Gary.
I'm really excited about this! Rickenbackers are the greatest & most adaptable guitars on the planet & I am very much hoping that this CD will prove it & will show that Rics are being used by all sorts of folks, for all sorts of strokes!

'Rickenbacker'...what a name! After all these years, it still thrills me.

Howard was kidding of course about the Watermelon song...right Aitch? At least I hope so. LOL
We were going to submit a song that we are planning to record together when he stumbles across the border into Canada carrying his 330 and a couple of suitcases. That is scheduled to happen August-September...but due to the closing date on Volume 1, our song will have to wait and perhaps be submitted for volume 2.

It's OK Aitch, I'm over the shock that you are going to break up our fledgling duo and become a solo artist! Go ahead and make your hit record. I'm just gonna go and sulk in the corner.

Hahahaha. Duds and suds that's a good name for a duo. We had better limit the suds portion of our recording effort otherwise the result will only sound good to us. One of those "you had to be there moments"

"Duds and Suds" sounds good, Brian. We could wear the "duds" while recording and leave the "suds" for the 'post recording evaluation'. If it comes out well, celebratory "suds". If it's a disaster then it's comiseratory "suds" and back to the drawing board..........
