The same holds true for a 4000, quite light, but I would never suggest cutting one of those up! Unless, of course, you could find a real beater.
I wonder, would the oil finish hamper the glue joint in any way?
It really is an intriguing idea to splice a 4004(4-2-5 of course) & a 650.
It would be a great combination, & looks appropriate with the guitar on top (much more practical that way, I hate to admit).
