Correct me if I'm wrong, but since when did the C64S come with a split bridge, and without a zero fret? I contacted the seller, and he said this one does have a zero fret. Can any one else see it? link
Looks like a 4001C64 MG to me. This is weird though, it's before my time, but I have never let a 4001C64 MG through... ever. A 4001C64S JG, yes, but this strikes me as odd...
I'd be inclined to call this one a c64... obviously, the horseshoe has been changed/modified, but the surround is like the one pictured on the Rick site...it's like a hexagon - not quite a rectangle. The c64s has a rectangular pickup surround. The nut is black on this one, where it should be white on the s model. There's no zero fret. Gloss of finish is tough to tell from the pic, but you can see some camera glare along the curvature of the instrument. Also, horns don't appear to be shaved.
All of these subtle details would suggest c64 as opposed to c64s.
