Hey, I get the 25th off, and if I'm not banned, I'm coming. Haven't been on the forum in a while but I am planning on being there! This is my first post in a month or two. Got sidetracked by buying a travel trailer and taking a two week trip to SDak. Now I gotta get caught up on the threads!

Good to hear from you Charly! Welcome back. Sounds like a fun trip. Did you check out Mt. Rushmore?

I just bought VIP tickets for HOB. It said Unreserved general Admission. I hope that is all I need to do.

I plan on attending again this year...after all, the 75th only comes around once!

I'll be bringing a few more from my collection that last year.

Question about the factory tours - does one need to sign up ahead of time to take either one?

IIRC, JH said just show up and you can get a tour. Charly, are you aware of the museum show too? With a ticket stub from the museum show you get a free upgrade to VIP status with a regular HOB ticket (at HOB).

I already bought the VIP..... I ordered one of each and it said I couldn't do it, so I just picked VIP.

Last year's Rick-fest was pretty laid back with eveyone kinda knowing everyone else. If someone wanted to pick and play someone elses guitar, they just did. Everyone more or less trusted everyone else. This years Anniversary celebration will likely have a different dynamic because it will be open to people outside the two main Rickenbacker forums. So what kind of security will there be if any? Will we check our instruments in at the door? I certainly wouldn't want this to turn into an afternoon at Guitar Center.

Well I promise not to wear my belt with the skull and crossbones buckle Image

Seriously, I imagine we're all responsible enough to ask politely, if we can pick someone else's instrument. In fact - I don't think I'll play anything. It will only highlight how bad a guitarist I am!!

Having a Rath 5'er, I'm sure people will want to play it. If, for nothing else, to see how the narrow spacing works out.

I love it!

I just found out I will have to be among the unfortunate few who will have to cancel/miss the 75th.

I do have two VIP HOB tickets if anyone's interested. If so, please contact me offline.
This is off the record

Glen, I may be interested. I wasn't going to be able to buy tickets for another week or so. If no one steps up before then, keep me in mind.
