David and all, as a journalist, I must protest the request of scanning and transmitting copyright material. Yeah, I don't have to since this is not my material, but it's the principle of the thing. Go out and buy the magazine (as I will tomorrow), or find a way to order the mag. Sure, one could argue that scanning and transmitting is not much different than loaning the hard copy to someone, but it's quite possible that that copy could then be transmitted to several other people, maybe even enough to affect sales, and that means money, and that means the authors, publishers, and photographers go without, and so forth.
So I protest. If it's something that you need and want, spend money. If you want, I'll pick up an extra copy and send it to you. You pay, of course.

If you go to Vintage Guitar Magazine's website, you can order back-issues. They readily promote the purchase of back-issues, and you shouldn't have a problem getting one. In fact, if you just call them up, they'll answer the phone and send it out to you ASAP. No hassle at all. It's not like other "big" magazines. Good luck and let us know how you do.

I have met Dan Erlewine, and my lutherie mentor has taught repair classes for professionals alongside him, most recently at the last A.S.I.A. symposium in Maryland.
Dan is the real deal in every respect. He has his opinions, of course, but he does his best to promote good solutions to playability and structural issues.
