Yeah...I see it a bit. I don't usually SEE it though. Always running to make it into the office on time. It's a magical feeling to know that so many great things are being made just on the other side of the wall that I sit by. All the sounds...they never bother me..just make me smile inside...ahhhhh like a warm brownie with a glass of milk....dang, I love my job. Off to work at the restaurant....
have a great Saturday night everybody and hold down the forum! (Since that was the title of the thread I figured I should use it in a sentence) hehehe

OK, back to the DVD thing.
I have now reviewed all of the tape - which is actually 8 hours 43 minutes (!) - and will now start making 'masters' from which I can clone copies (or create disk images, from which copies can be created). I think that I will transfer these to DVD at SP (or whatever it's called) speed which will be 2 hours per CD. The good news is that this should give a really good quality transfer (the tape quality will be the limiting factor), the bad news is that this means the material will occupy FIVE DVDs, which will slow down the whole process.
I will post an update occasionally to let everyone know how things are progressing.
P.S. I put masters in quotes because these will be basic transfers, no added title screens etc. Also, these will be in DVD+ format which is what I have found works for backward compatibility with DVD-ROM drives and stand-alone DVD players.
