Steve Irwin RIP
No, you didn't offend, Nate. I guess I was a bit sad and down and somewhat disappointed with the general tone of the thread given that it was about a guy who had just died and to me it seemed a little disrespectful.

Is it me, or has their been more drama and dissention on the entire forum lately? Things seem to have gotten a bit nasty in some areas.
Any sudden death is tragic, and at 44, it doesn't seem fair. I had a friend pass away last month at 42. She was in perfect health. She had been training for a marathon she was going to run with her 72 year old father. Then... she's gone. She suffered a brain aneurysm.
Maybe we should reflect on how precious life is and strengthen our faith in whatever spirit guides you.

Their are just so many stories like that. It just makes you think. I try to appreciate the blessings I have instead of worrying about the things I don't. I'm not always successful, but I try.
I guess as I grow older I appreciate different things. We have had some horrible wildfires here and for a couple of days the smoke was terrible. I have asthma and could hardly breathe. Yesterday was clear and I spent about an hour in my screen room just taking deep breaths with my eyes closed. Amazing how we even take air for granted.
I'm sorry for your loss Howard.

No it's certainly not just you that has noticed that Brian. I love your solution BTW.

Steve had the tendency to **** of a snake and then have it attach it self to his arm. It was only a matter of time before something killed him.
Steve Irwin had great instincts with animal behavior and reactions. I think he was in more control of the situation if he was closer to the animal, that from a couple of feet away...which seems like the situation with the stingray. I think he might have underestimated that the crew might have agitated or frightened the stingray so that it would strike even though it was not touched.
I was a fan of his. RIP Steve Irwin, you'll definitely be missed by many.
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS!
I'm in Idaho and we have had some large forest fires. The fires aren't close to me, but the smoke has been terrible from them. It felt like fall this morning. The air was crisp and is getting clearer with each passing day. Now I'm getting ready for the 49ers opener. Watching them play will kill any good Sunday!
As I wait though, I am heading outside to thumb through Beatles Gear. I guess I'll be looking for my next instrument.
Everyone enjoy their Sunday.
