The talk of money for a shadow
A few years ago I was a bit of a novice at spotting rare Rickenbackers (and this is no joke) I was offered for sale a Rickenbacker that had been used in the UK TV series Auf Wiederseen Pet and it was all based here in the north east of the UK.
Newcastle up on Tyne to be precise and the guy said it was a shadow bass the price was right but I give it a miss, as I did not have the cash at the time.
Sad or what.

Mine cost me about $2600 but I REALLY wanted it. I guess I can understand someone wanting one that much. I bought it before joining the forum. In fact, people over here were asking who the nut was who just blew the curve on Shadow pricing. Apparently it has caught up and I am no longer responsible for ruining things.
