Mesa Boogie Walkabout Scout Bass Combo
Mesa Boogie Walkabout Scout Bass Combo
Has anyone played one of these? I'm looking for a powerful, portable combo. These seem to fit the bill, I especially like the removable head.
Any comments?

Hi Mike, I got her at Huber & Breese Music in Fraser, Michigan. There is a great guy there, his name is Mike, who is a working bassist/guitarist/sound man/singer/song writer.
He is a unique combination of old school and high tech. I've learned over the years to listen carefully when he speaks. He has a great ear for bass equipment. When I asked about something cool and portable, he took me directly to the Scout. They sell and stock all brands, the Scout was a clear step above. For as small and light as she is, the performance is amazing.
Because of the way this thing honks, I'm looking hard at the 750 Big Block Boogie. I'm a Trace/Ampeg guy, but Mesa has got something going on here.

I'm just happy to be here.
