Itchin' all over, Jeff! Thank you all for your comments. I don't know about you, John, but this one will be my pride and joy. I'll put vintage knobs on it, though..... much nicer look IMHO.

Yes, the 'intermediary' is a forumite, John. I'll leave it to him to reveal his identity should he wish. Once it arrives I'll reveal it anyway!! LOL! I can't thank him enough for his assistance in securing the 330. We've had some strange bank hassles and he's been toing and froing with freight companies. Fantastic guy and very accommodating. Looking forward to him stepping on our fair shores!

He is also now an expert in international shipping.... I have a 'non-Rick' in transit from him as I type.

Just gotta sell some other stuff to pay for it all now!! Image

I have been taking extra special care of this one, Aitch. I'm considering leaving it in its case when it's not being played, something I never do - I have a rack for all my guitars. I even had a dream last night that it got a big chip in it!

Good idea on the knobs - i'm going to try some oven knobs on it!

Oh, Aitch, that is one luscious-looking 330! Image Congrats!

Now I'm getting even more impatient to see my Annies!

Thanks, Melibee..... it is a bit pretty, isn't it? Strangely enough, as pretty as John's!! Image

It would be most odd if mine arrives before yours..... I hope that isn't the case. Perhaps a surprise phone call from your dealer during the week might be on the cards! Image

Boy oh boy, those 330's look amazing. I can't wait to get mine now. I hear what John is saying about leaving the guitar in its case, but I'm really, really going to try to resist being precious about this one. I have to keep reminding myself that the whole reason I bought it was to have a 330 with high gains. Use it, Squid, use it!

Looking at the photos thus far, it seems to me that the "gold" that Paul's put on the pickguards is much more in the realm of the "bronze" guards he did for his Montezuma Brown 381. (Remember those?) There's nary a hint of green in them. Instead, they have a rich, almost caramel look to them. They really help to set off that DCM. Luscious!

Congrats to Aitch and John and thanks for the pictures.

Oh, and Paul, would I damage the finish on my 330 DCM if I added an Accent? I love having the vibrato, but I'm worried about the foam pads on the spring causing finish damage. Any thoughts?

Squid, the area under the Accent is a bit marred on my guitars. I wouldn't do it, personally.

Don't put the Accent on unless you're going to keep it there. There will be some marking, especially on a relatively new guitar.

The sun has gone in, unfortunatley! That's the kind of week we've had here, five minutes of sun a day. When it comes back out, i'll snap a quick one.

Is it possible that my dealer has not even heard a thing yet?
(I asked and that's what a salesman said.)

Certainly. Only Howard and I have ours, and they both came from the same shop.
