String buying
Anybody recommend a good method to purchase some Rickenbacker strings up here in Canada? I ordered some through L&M in Burlington (the closest Rick distributor) and they said, no problem but it could take a bit. That was in May! I don't mind waiting a year or so for a guitar but for strings? Any quick way to get these strings into Canada, close to me?

Hi Bill,
I get mine through US dealers North Coast, Jim Rhoads, Pick of the Rics, the Rickenbacker Page, or the Ric Boutique. Depends who's got a deal on. I bring them in 10 packs or so at a time. They normally come in via USPS and you pay exchange rate, a $5 broker fee, GST and PST. Travel time varies from 3 days to a week.
Steve's here in Montreal told me I had to buy 24 packs at a time and I'd have to wait. Yeah right.
