Is George's magician cape in Magical Mystery Tour? Where's the bus?? Ten miles north on the Dunesburry Road and they're havin a luvly time. I forgot the shoooogar. Where did you get that???? COOL!!! Can you get me some of the Indian jackets Paul and George have on in the walrus part? The orange suit George wears is cool too. Ill have one of those and Ringo's Chicken head. I just bought it on DVD, what a crazy film.

Anyone got any closeups of George's "Hare Krishna" Stratocaster? The one in the Magical Mystery Tour album, also seen in Tom Petty's video (with Mike Campbell playing it) "I Won't Back Down"...

Also, while we're on the topic...did Harrison indeed originally own the psychedelic SG painted by "The Fool" which Clapton made famous, and later ended up in Todd Rundgren's hands?

Todd Rundgren has the Sg of Claptons...
I think I read that George gave Pete Ham of Badfinger his Gibson Sg...
the Fool (group of artist working for Apple in 67-69 until Klein move into Apple) painted Creams instruments, they did Jack Bruce's Fender Bass VI and Claptons SG...along with a piano for John and I think they did George's house, John's Rolls and Mini, the Apple Building, and the red to pink,inside paper record sleeve for Sgt. Pepper...its funny that they didnt do the Beatles guitars, the Casinos, Ricky bass, Ringos drum head in M.M.Tour and George's Rocky Strat....I wonder why they did those themselves?

The Fool also designed the inside gatefold sleeve to SGT. PEPPER, but it then nixed at the end by Peter Blake.

they did the red to pink swirle jacket that the record itself slips in, on the original copies of Sgt.pepper...

Does that Club 40 have a black neck? If so, very cool. I'd hate to guess what the boys at Music Ground charged you for all of that stuff, but never the less, it's cool stuff to have and I'm jealous (especially about the Stu bass).

Thanks for the compliments guys. I probably did
pay too much money at the time for all this stuff,
but the good part is most was bought 5-15 years ago and the value has gone up a lot. I don't buy
snowmobiles, boats, etc., just early Beatle gear
which has proven to be a better move than buying
a $5000 snowmobile which is worthing nothing in 5 years! Nick, the Club 40 has a natural finish neck and the President bass has a black neck. Just the opposite of what they should be but we can't have everything! They both play great, I think the early Hofners are way under-rated. The Solid 7 has a 'ski slope' neck but is good for slide. They are rare as most got busted like McCartney's.

In today's marketplace, which guitar is considered more valuable, John's Rick or Paul's Hofner? Just wondering.

Hmmmm....Which 325 are you thinking of???
From a standpoint of authenticity my vote would go to John's '63 325 due to its almost unaltered condition. Paul's Hofner 500/1 along with all other Beatle Guitars has had such an impact in the shape of popular music that it is almost impossible to put a value on any of them. Seven figures??? Who knows. A 1959 left-handed Les Paul Standard (flame-top) was advertised recently for $100,000.00; Paul McCartney has the only other one that I know of--so what would his bring if it was for sale? I think it all comes down to WHO it is, and WHAT it is. If they ever come up for sale, they will arguably be the holy grail(s) in guitar collecting.
