2006: It was a very good year . . .

Post by rick_ovic »

I will remember 2006 as an exceptionally good year. The highlight was the RIC 75th and meeting so many tremendous people in Santa Ana. John Williams and Dave Pascoe welcomed me into their homes and gave me a taste of life on their part of the planet. Graham Griffiths showed me how to act like a teenager again. Paul W honoured me with the front cover of the inaugural Forum calendar. I made so many connections with so many people - Alisha, John Biscuti, J Dog, Alison, Kenny, Joey V, Dr Bob, John Koelling, Scott Jehlik, RC...the list continues to grow Image

My guitar inventory turned over somewhat and grew by three. Incoming was a '67 450-12JG, a '60 360 Capri FG, a '58 Gibson EB-2 bass, a Mexican Fender Jazz bass, a 700C acoustic, two 70's 4000 basses, a 360-12V64, a '52 reissue Fender Telecaster and a Strat copy. Outgoing was a 90's 610, a'66 345, a '65 360-12, a '73 4001 FG, the 360V64-12, the Gibson bass and the Fender Jazz.

I'm hoping to make the SoCal confluence in 2007 Image

2006 was an awesome year for me (ric wise anyways). I got my first ric...a 78' Union Jack 4001. And I hope that 2007 will be even better.
