Imagine that, a 4005L on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace! Is this the RIC equivalent of Playboy? Image

Yeah, I don't take mine out much. You guys all get jealous. Then, when I offer it for sale to the first e-mail, all your e-mails hit at once, so then I decide to just keep it.

ahh...you've seen one light show, you've seen'em all

Thought that fella looked familiar, jeez!

Couldn't take my eyes off the shir.....I mean the bass.

I talked to a retired RIC dealer from Ann Arbor Michigan about the 4004LS. He sponsored a local rock band, name escapes me at the moment (Brownsville Station?), back in the 70's. He equipped them with 4005LS and 331LS guitars. As I recall, he ordered two of each for his store and the band which they used and abused.

The only know survivor is a 331LS. The others history devoured. I would think there were more than two of the 4005's as at least two appear to have landed in Michigan.
I'm just happy to be here.

I'd sure like to play one of these someday - I think it'd be more effective than a 331, since one tends to play individual notes on bass, and the lights would probably jump from color to color more frequently than if playing chords.

Onstage, I tend to only turn the lights on on my 331 when it comes time for a solo, for this very reason.

Ted says there were two Lightshow 4005s.

Five were produced and all but one have been accounted for.

So which would be the rarer 4005 variation?
The 4005LS, 4005/6, 4005/8 or the f-hole?

Sorry Ronn, never was a big Who fan as a yoot.

I had a preference for Rick players, like that Beatle guy, you know, Peter, Paul or Mary something.

John, any idea how many 331LS's were made?

See post above for JH's prescient answer before the question is asked...
“I say in speeches that a plausible mission of artists is to make people appreciate being alive at least a little bit. I am then asked if I know of any artists who pulled that off. I reply, 'The Beatles did.”
