Marc, there's nothing wrong with Peter's pic. In fact here's my Family Pic.

It took me forever to paint in those inlays the other way round. And as for the "R" tailpiece...

Kevin, that 4000 is doubly interesting. 1. It's Burgundy. 2. It's FRETLESS! Gary has some of the most unusual and interesting Rick basses that I've ever seen. He's got a Tux, a Redneck, and a "Blackstar"-class 4003/5, not to mention the 4002, the "none whiter" 4003 White with white trim . . . . Just amazing.
With Francesco's collection, is the far left a 4003S with added Toaster and Horseshoe? Is the one on the far right a V63? Or are they both V63s? The one on the left has a fat upper horn while the one on the right is skinny. Compare the Horseshoe surrounds among the two and the CS; each is different. Hmm.

Here's my whole famn damily spread out on the floor going vertical! What we have here are (clockwise from 7 o'clock) 2001 Desert Gold 4003, 1997 Fireglo 4001V63, 1993 4004C Cheyenne with VVT mod, 1992 Fireglo 2060 El Dorado, 1997 Fireglo 4004L Laredo with VVT mod, 2004 Montezuma Brown 4003VP with Hipshot tailpiece/bridge and Pickguardian guards, and in the center, 1972 "Mink" 4001 with replaced treble pickup, surround, and tailpiece - and of course, restored by Ted Staberow and Paul Wilczynski. Two of these are going soon: The DG is sold, and the 2060 is for sale. Two more are to come: 2007 DMC 75th Anniversary 4003 and 2007 (I hope) Blueburst 4004Cii Cheyenne. No room for the Hofners this time. Need a taller tripod!
