Mark: Strange Pick guard mod on your 1976 4001FL. Reminds me of a current ebay sale:

Yeah, that huge chrome thing was on the bass when I bought it (used, of course.) I was in my teens at the time, and was really into the chrome-everything look. The TRC is chrome, too. The body is fine underneath - no routing casualties.

"If that 4000 could talk..."

I guess the latest addition to my family could have a nice conversation with the 4000. I bought a "well-used" B-115 today. It looks as if it has been in a barn for some years. The tubes are unmatched. But it sounds nice and warm. Pictures to be found at: http://www.blaat.net/bas/b-115/ .

Hey Berth, hier nog een BGF-er met een nieuwe oude Amp. Image (pardon my Dutch).

I hope you'll keep that JG long enough for me to save up for it....

My 4003, the only member of my Ric-family.

Congrats with the new old amp Sven. And I'm not in a hurry selling the JG as long as my 4003 BBR hasn't arrived. But it will arrive this year!

Pff, I don't need seven Rickenbackers.

I need at least eight.

I've been wanting to take a group photo, but I'm gonna wait till "Annie" shows up.

New couch Jeff?

I love that white 4003.

That white looks lovely Jeff. Did you sell a Rick recently? I remember you having seven right before you moved.

That's a great lineup, having a B string is the icing on the RIC cake. Love the two 4004's with maple boards, very nice.

that is actually an old sofa from the 80s ... I still have the "famous" one ... I had seven Rics last fall ... I sold my white 2030 4-2-5 on ebay ... I unloaded 7 basses before I moved ... I miss the white 2030 4-2-5 ... it had a real snarlly tone ... I actually bought that bass, converted it 4-2-5 sold it to a forum member, then bought it back and then sold it again ...

and I also like the new white 4003 bass as well ... it needs a low B string though ...
