I can only imagine that people are waiting to make a better move later. Horsehoes can be found. I'd be bidding on it if I could spend the cash.

I would believe the reserve is very near or at the Buy It Now. This is a really decent price considering what they have been going for. Wish I could justify that amount.....

Up to $1875. That's a little more like it. Shame. I was hoping I could get a CS for under a grand. HAHAHAHa. Yeah right.

RIC uses some unusual screws on the treble pickup surrounds of the 4003. The same screws are used on the jackplates, tuners, and TRC. They have thick heads but are just a little bigger across than the tip of the screwdriver - apparently not a common head shape for such a small screw. My V63 has them and I have found I can actually rest my thumb on the screw head at the rear of the surround. I have considered putting a screw like that on my '63.

I have searched screw catalogs and cannot find anything similar to what RIC uses so I make my own by griding down the head diameter of a stainless screw that has the same length and thread type.

I love the horseshoes on my v63s and I even put a cover on my 4001 so I could play it the same way. But I use a pick a lot and over the years I've gotten very used to playing that way so it doesn't get in my way at all...

I've got an extra RIC treble surround/tuner/TRC/jack screw I can give you next time I see you Ted.

We need to get together soon anyway.

It's a basic, off-the-shelf fillister head screw.

I have checked out several fillister and cheese head screws but none are the same as the RIC screws. I talked to Paul W. about it and he could not find them either. I have not tried Zero Products before but I will now.
