Welcome, Alan!
As far as shrinking the photos is concerned - a couple of suggestions:
a) http://www.jpegwizard.com. Limit the picture size (no more than 500x500; "Max W&H pixels") & then save the thumbnail when it's ready. Requires registration;
b) send the pics to a fellow forumite & they can shrink them for you. I could've tried to do that for you if you will. Image
Nothing will get you dead quicker than being deadly serious about yourself.

Alan, I don't suppose you have a Mac do you? If so http://www.xtralean.com/IWOverview.html ....download "imagewell" which is an excellent, no frills utility to resize pics. Fire 'em off to me and I'll resize for ya' if you like. [email protected]

Welcome Alan.
Image Resizer is probably the easiest program to use, assuming you are running Windows XP. It's part of Microsoft Powertoys for Windows XP. If you are running another Windows platform there are powertoys for all of the OS's.

Simply right-click on your photo, select "resize pictures", select the "advance" tab, and use "custom" 400 x 400 usually resizes the pic for upload to the forum.

Buy it before someone else does.

Hey Alan, welcome to the forum. Good to see on this one also.
I also use Irfanview as a quick way to resize my pictures.
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS! :-)

Brian, thanks for the offer, I took you up and sent two pics via email. My computer is newish, but they're all ****. I'm calling the geek squad Mon. morn. I have downloaded both the resize power toys as well as infranview, but can't get either to run. Thank you all for your support, and patience, pics forthcoming.
