$1,001 for a white '76 4001. The seller could probably get a better price if he hadn't misspelled "Rickenbacher" in the title.

Ilan, I saw this one but with no TRC and yellowing with a strange pinkglo to the back of the top horn area I thought 1K was about right.

With the discoloration removed, a TRC, a proper setup and better pics taken, I'd estimate a total of 1-2 hours of fairly simple work put into it, this bass could easily fetch $1,500 on eBay.

I have a spare black TRC just for such occasions, and I figured I could polish out the pink discoloration. But I just couldn't justify another bass at the moment, I just got a 70's Fender fretless neck and I'm in the process of restoring a vintage J bass, so I'm temporarily out of GAS money :-(

Fair enough. How would you have got the pink out, also would this help with whitening up the bass?

This must have been caused by wearing a red shirt and sweating a lot on a gig. I think that a polishing compound will do the job. It will not whiten up the bass, the paint yellows through to the wood, it's not just the clearcoat yellowing.
