"I would guess that John could sell another 2 or 3 hundred 4001CS models at a list of $3,999."

That's only $3000 more than I paid for mine new in '92!

Put me down for one right now! If they really were 100 short, I don't see how finishing the run compromises anyone who already has one, as long as they still only have 1000 basses total. Of course, they won't get those high numbers on ebay, but some people think that's a good thing.

Will it happen? I wouldn't bet on it, but you never know. I just hope they tell us before I refinish my 4001S this summer. My wife isn't going to put up with two yellow basses lying around...

I wonder if the new CS basses will get the upside-down headstock?

John, I can't believe you would call me a suck up!

It's not my fault Mr. Hall is a smart, articulate, kind, handsome, thrifty, brave, trustworthy, (send me a Lemmy, already have a CS), brilliant CEO.
I'm just happy to be here.

Not to mention a dappy dresser, has a nice car, lovely wife, sharp wit, (V68) shrewd businessman.

I, myself, admire his integrity, (V68) his forthright honesty (custom shop), communication with his customer base (stock options) and of course he's a good-looking guy too. (Company credit line.)
What do you mean the Bass is too loud???
