Put me down for one right now! If they really were 100 short, I don't see how finishing the run compromises anyone who already has one, as long as they still only have 1000 basses total. Of course, they won't get those high numbers on ebay, but some people think that's a good thing.
Will it happen? I wouldn't bet on it, but you never know. I just hope they tell us before I refinish my 4001S this summer. My wife isn't going to put up with two yellow basses lying around...
