A plea to Sir Paul to help save the studios...this guy must be kidding! This is the same Macca who let the rights go to Michael Jackson...

“I say in speeches that a plausible mission of artists is to make people appreciate being alive at least a little bit. I am then asked if I know of any artists who pulled that off. I reply, 'The Beatles did.”

I could (OTOH) see Paul recording elsewhere.
I think "influence" matters not a whit when the sharks are circling. Think "Gordon Gecko".

Paul actually BUY Abbey Road? Well, perhaps if he could turn it into "Sergeant Pepperland", at $100 a head. The Lucy in the Sky parachute jump could rival the Big Eye as a London skyline landmark...

While McCartney could have a personal desire to purchase it, his divorce still isn't finalized. I can't see him doling out funds for Abbey Road at this juncture. And, candidly, I don't think it means that much to him. Money does though.

Where else can you still see the bits of skin preserved under polycast that stuck from Paul's bare feet on the hot asphalt that day they shot the cover for Abbey Road? We all thought that Paul was dead, whilst he was possibly wishing he was with his burned feet and all...

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you, and sit in with the band whenever you can, to keep your chops up!
