ABBEY ROAD ABOUT TO BE FLIPPED?

A plea to Sir Paul to help save the studios...this guy must be kidding! This is the same Macca who let the rights go to Michael Jackson...

A future museum, it's only a matter of time.

Paul still uses Abbey Road Studios. If there's a threat to them, I could see Paul using his wealth and influence to save them.

I could (OTOH) see Paul recording elsewhere.

I think "influence" matters not a whit when the sharks are circling. Think "Gordon Gecko".

Let's just hope if Paul does buy it, he doesn't get remarried and it end up in the hands of some lady that dances on TV.

Paul actually BUY Abbey Road? Well, perhaps if he could turn it into "Sergeant Pepperland", at $100 a head. The Lucy in the Sky parachute jump could rival the Big Eye as a London skyline landmark...

I could see him buying it. He built a scale replica of Studio 2 in his own house, so I can't imagine him letting the real one slip away if he has the opportunity to do something about it.

While McCartney could have a personal desire to purchase it, his divorce still isn't finalized. I can't see him doling out funds for Abbey Road at this juncture. And, candidly, I don't think it means that much to him. Money does though.

Don't you think that he had a pretty solid prenup with Heather? Surely his divorce stuff would not preclude on of the many businesses and foundations from picking up Abbey Road?

He didn't have a prenup with her.

I hope when I am his age that I do not suffer total lapses of reason Image

Still, if it was me I would hang on to Abbey Road Image

What's the big deal that building? Can't they just make Abbey Roads in China or Korea for less money anyway?

(Kidding!)

Where else can you still see the bits of skin preserved under polycast that stuck from Paul's bare feet on the hot asphalt that day they shot the cover for Abbey Road? We all thought that Paul was dead, whilst he was possibly wishing he was with his burned feet and all... Image

While Paul uses many different studios to record in, he keeps returning to Abbey Road. I could see him adding Abbey Road as an MPL asset.
